Specialist People Foundation was established December 2008 by Thorkil Sonne as a Not-for-Profit foundation. Specialist People Foundation was given all shares of Specialisterne.

Thorkil Sonne is general manager of the foundation and in charge of building up the foundation according to the statutes of the foundation.

The vision of Specialist People Foundation will be launched at the One Million Specialist People Seminar on the UN Autism Awareness Day April 2.
